Putting the chicken before the egg?

OK, call me a simpleton but how can you offer something as a service if it isn't built yet? Or are you not getting what they say it is?

Gravatar Image1 - Well, it could just be that they do have a crude manual procedure for fresh installs in very specific configurations, but they don't have the ability to do a general-purpose install and have all features work, and they don't have any upgrade capability at all from previous version. In that situation, they can run it reliably enough in an environment that they control even though they don't have a releasable product.
